Interstitial lung disease in systemic lupus erythematosus: state of the art search
2023, Revista Colombiana de ReumatologiaPleural and pulmonary involvement in systemic lupus erythematosus
2011, Presse MedicaleCitation Excerpt :Lung function findings vary from isolated decrease in DLCO, restrictive pattern, small airway disease to an obstructive pattern [66]. Analysis of bronchoalveloar lavage (BAL) fluid cells in SLE patients without respiratory symptoms have shown changes of subclinical alveolitis [67,68]. Corticosteroids and immunosuppressive drugs are routinely used to treat ILD in patients with SLE, although the effectiveness of these therapies has not been verified by controlled trials.
