In Japanese, it has been observed that ONFH occurrence was significantly associated with gene polymorphisms related to steroid metabolism [70–72], alcohol metabolism [49], the coagulation/fibrinolytic system [73], lipid metabolism [74,75], and oxidative stress [76]. It has also been reported that the risk of ONFH occurrence was significantly increased when in the presence of both ABCB1 and CBP polymorphisms (both related to steroid metabolism) [77].
