AB  - We describe 3 patients who presented with clinical and serological evidence of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and 10 or more years later developed for the first time clinical and serological manifestations of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Each patient now meets the American College of Rheumatology criteria for both SLE and RA.
