AB Sjögren disease (SjD) is widely recognized by the presence of B cell–dominated lymphocytic infiltration in the salivary glands (SGs). Contrary to what was originally presumed, however, SG hypofunction in SjD is not strongly correlated with the degree of SG lymphocytic infiltration in the SGs.
