AB Realizing in the fall of 2021 that I had started medical school exactly 50 years ago, on September 7, 1971, I thought that it would be interesting for the 2022 Dunlop-Dottridge Lecture to briefly review what we knew about vasculitis prior to 1971 and then reflect on what we have learned since.
