AB  - Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a systemic autoimmune disease with a prevalence of approximately 1 in 1000.1 It occurs 9 times more commonly in women than men and is more common in some ethnic groups, notably in people of African/Caribbean ethnicity.
