Abstract

Case. A 24-year-old woman with newly diagnosed limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis (SSc) presented with 2 ulcers with gangrene of the right fourth digit, which did not respond to nifedipine and tadalafil. Initial treatment with aspirin, nitroglycerin patches, narcotic analgesics, and empirical antibiotics for concomitant soft tissue infection proved inadequate, as the ulcers continued to enlarge.
