Axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) is a chronic inflammatory disease primarily affecting the axial skeleton, including the spine and sacroiliac joints.1 In the last 2 decades, increased attention has been directed toward understanding the pathogenesis, clinical presentation, and treatment of axSpA.
