MSUS was performed on the 22 joints of the bilateral hands and wrists of 7 patients. Ten physician investigators examined each of these joints, with some exclusions for missing data or for ulcers overlying a joint. US: ultrasound; MSUS: musculoskeletal US; MCP: metacarpophalangeal joints; PIP: proximal interphalangeal joints.
