The clinical features according to the definitions of the American College of Rheumatology criteria and immunological profiles (ever) of patients with SLE recruited in this study were similar to the rest of the patients in the cohort. The treatment variables on patients not having a Pap smear were not available. “Ever” refers to use of immunosuppressants since the diagnosis of SLE.
