New therapeutic approaches have been proposed, and new molecules with anti-TNF-α activity have been chemically altered to improve their pharmacological properties. Certolizumab pegol (CZP) is a PEGylated Fc-free anti-TNF that has been shown clinically to be effective in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), skin psoriasis, and PsA. This article summarizes available data on its clinical efficacy and safety profile in the treatment of patients with PsA.
