This is an interesting article that addresses an important issue relevant to many rheumatologists and patients in daily practice: the use of electronic patient-reported outcome measures (ePROM) versus standard paper-assessed PROM. Remote tracking of patient response with smartphones and tablets is generating a lot of interest. The effects of ePROM on patient safety, medication compliance/adherence, and disease outcome are highlighted.
